Abstract
A valve for use in a cracking process includes an erosion protection device. The erosion protection device includes at least one baffle projector beyond a contour of an inner wall of the closure part. The closure part is positioned between a first housing part and a second housing part. The expansion protection device minimizes the direct impact on the sealing surface and sealing seats of the value.

25. A double gate valve comprising;
- a housing with a first housing part having an inner wall;
a second housing part having an inner wall; and
a closure part which is arranged in a movable manner between the first housing part and the second housing part, the closure part having an inner wall;wherein, in an open position of the valve, an exit opening of the first housing part is assigned to an entry opening of the closure part and an exit opening of the closure part is assigned to an entry opening of the second housing part, the valve having at least one baffle projecting beyond a contour of the inner wall of the closure part, wherein the at least one baffle is arranged on the inner wall of the closure part to provide erosion protection. - View Dependent Claims (27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39)
