Abstract

A method and apparatus for building and delivering a HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) construction representing digital content layout are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the method includes constructing the digital content layout by selecting a delivery method, selecting subwidgets, and using the selected subwidgets to build and represent the digital content layout. The method further includes integrating the digital content layout with a designated website using a unique number that is mapped to a specific website identifier (SPID) that identifies the designated website. The method also includes delivering third-party content to the designated website by maintaining a Javascript Object Notation (JSON) map for each web page on the designated website and streaming the JSON map for the web page on to a browser upon initial request. In addition, the method includes tracking interactive content on the designated website by capturing interaction with content in the digital content layout, wherein the interaction with content includes content loads and/or clicks on.

Claims

1. A method for building and delivering a HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) construction representing digital content layout, the method comprising:

constructing the digital content layout by selecting a delivery method, selecting subwidgets, and using the selected subwidgets to build and represent the digital content layout;

integrating the digital content layout with a designated website using a unique number that is mapped to a specific website identifier (SPID) that identifies the designated website;

delivering third-party content to the designated website by maintaining a Javascript Object Notation (JSON) map for each web page on the designated website and streaming the JSON map for the web page on to a browser upon initial request; and

tracking interactive content on the designated website by capturing interaction with content in the digital content layout, wherein the interaction with content includes content loads and/or clicks on.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprises:

maintaining a JSON file for each subwidget in the digital content layout; and

streaming the JSON file for the subwidget on to the browser.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprises streaming CSS files to the web page.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the interaction with content further includes navigation through content and/or opening and closing of call-to-actions (CTAs).

5. The method of claim 1, further comprises:

maintaining an organizational structure to connect disparate data that includes identifiers to mark what content has loaded, classifiers to catalog events (including load, close, click, play, pause, and update) that have been logged, and values to provide sub-context to classifiers.

6. A computing device for building and delivering a HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) construction representing digital content layout, the computing device comprising:

a control circuit;

a processor installed in the control circuit; and

a memory installed in the control circuit and coupled to the processor;

wherein the processor is configured to execute a program code stored in the memory to;

construct the digital content layout by selecting a delivery method, selecting subwidgets, and using the selected subwidgets to build and represent the digital content layout;

integrate the digital content layout with a designated website using a unique number that is mapped to a specific website identifier (SPID) that identifies the designated website;

deliver third-party content to the designated website by maintaining a Javascript Object Notation (JSON) map for each web page on the designated website and streaming the JSON map for the web page on to a browser upon initial request; and

track interactive content on the designated website by capturing interaction with content in the digital content layout, wherein the interaction with content includes content loads and/or clicks on.

7. The computing device of claim 6, wherein the processor is further configured to execute a program code stored in the memory to:

maintain a JSON file for each subwidget in the digital content layout; and

stream the JSON file for the subwidget on to the browser.

8. The computing device of claim 6, wherein the processor is further configured to execute a program code stored in the memory to stream CSS files to the web page.

9. The computing device of claim 6, wherein the interaction with content further includes navigation through content and/or opening and closing of call-to-actions (CTAs).

10. The computing device of claim 6, wherein the processor is further configured to execute a program code stored in the memory to:

maintain an organizational structure to connect disparate data that includes identifiers to mark what content has loaded, classifiers to catalog events (including load, close, click, play, pause, and update) that have been logged, and values to provide sub-context to classifiers.
