Abstract

A fraud detection system which detects fraud in a game of performing collection and redemption of chips in accordance with a win or lose result includes a camera which captures an image of chips contained in a chip tray of a dealer, an image analyzing apparatus which analyses the image captured by the camera to detect an amount of the chips contained in the chip tray, a card distribution device which determines a win or lose result of a game, and a control device which compares the win or lose result of the game and the amount of the chips contained in the chip tray before and after collection and redemption of the chips to detect fraud.

Claims

1. A system used for a gaming table for playing games by betting chips, the system comprising:

a camera that shoots to obtain an image of the gaming table;

a control device that recognizes amount of cash placed on the gaming table based on the image obtained by the camera and recognizes amount of chips placed on the gaming table for being exchanged by based on the image obtained by the camera or using ID embedded in the chip, and compares the recognized amount of cash and the recognized amount of chips; and

a database that stores history of the exchange of the cash and the chips.

2. The system according to claim 1, further comprising assigning device that assigns different values to different types of the chips.

3. The system according to claim 1, wherein:

the chip has an RFID tag embedded therein, and

the control device recognizes the amount of chips based on information read from the RFID tag.

4. The system according to claim 1, wherein:

the chip has an RFID tag for identifying that is embedded therein, and

the control device compares information read from the RFID and information entered.

The system according to claim 1, wherein the control device detects that the exchange of the cash and the chips is conducted under a circumstance other than during card dealing based on a game result determined by a game result determining device for determining a result of game played on the gaming table, the image obtained by the camera, or input from a dealer.

6. The system according to claim 1, wherein the control device specifies a player by extract a face image of the player and identifying an identification number (ID).

The system according to claim 1, wherein the control device determined whether recognized amount of chips in a chip tray of dealer of the gaming table, after the exchange of the cash and the chips, increases or decreases according to amount of payment of the chips for the recognized amount of cash.

8. The system according to claim 1, wherein the control device determines whether payment amount of the cash input by a dealer and the amount of cash recognized based on the image obtained by the camera match.

9. The system according to claim 1, wherein the control device detects positions, types, and number of the chips wagered by the player in game based on the image obtained by the camera.

The system according to claim 1, wherein the control device performs image recognition using learning type or artificial intelligence type function that is capable of recognizing the amount of the cash or chips placed on the gaming table for the exchange even in a situation where a part of the cash or the chip is concealed due to a blind spot of the camera.
