1. An aircraft refrigeration system, comprising:
- an ambient air line, configured to allow a flow of ambient air and which is connected to an aircraft cabin in order to conduct ambient air to the aircraft cabin,at least one ambient air compressor, arranged in the ambient air line, for compressing the ambient air flowing through the ambient air line, anda cabin exhaust air turbine, connected to a cabin exhaust air line and coupled to the at least one ambient air compressor arranged in the ambient air line and configured to expand cabin exhaust air flowing through the cabin exhaust air line and to drive the at least one ambient air compressor arranged in the ambient air line,a transmission, configured to couple the cabin exhaust air turbine to the ambient air compressor and to set a speed of the ambient air compressor, anda motor, coupled to the transmission and configured to drive the at least one ambient air compressor arranged in the ambient air line.

9. A method for operating an aircraft refrigeration system, comprising:

directing ambient air through an ambient air line connected to an aircraft cabin to conduct ambient air to the aircraft cabin, compressing the ambient air flowing through the ambient air line in at least one ambient air compressor arranged in the ambient air line, and expanding cabin exhaust air flowing through a cabin exhaust air line in a cabin exhaust air turbine connected to a cabin exhaust air line and being coupled to the at least one ambient air compressor arranged in the ambient air line and which drives the at least one ambient air compressor arranged in the ambient air line, setting a speed of the ambient air compressor by means of a transmission which is configured to couple the cabin exhaust air turbine to the ambient air compressor, and driving the at least one ambient air compressor arranged in the ambient air line by means of a motor coupled to the transmission. - View Dependent Claims (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15)
