1. An information processing device that shifts to at least a first power state and a second power state where less power is consumed than in the first power state, the information processing device comprising:
- an output unit configured to output an operation stop signal;
a device configured to receive the operation stop signal output from the output unit, to shift to an operation stop state based on the operation stop signal, and to shift to an electric power saving mode where less power is consumed than in operation stop state at least on condition that the operation stop signal has not been input;
a signal control unit configured to provide control that prevents the operation stop signal from being input to the device when the information processing device shifts to the second power state; and
a restart unit configured to restart the information processing device based on a predetermined condition,wherein the signal control unit controls the operation stop signal to be input to the device when the restart unit restarts the information processing device.

outputting an operation stop signal; providing control to prevent the operation stop signal from being input to the device based on information indicating a power state of the information processing device; restarting the information processing device based on a predetermined condition; and controlling the operation stop signal to be input to the device when the information processing device is restarted.
