Abstract

In order to detect an object by discriminating the object in accordance with the state of the object, a detection device comprises: an identifying unit configured to identify whether a human included in a plurality of frame images of a moving image is a pedestrian; a determining unit configured to determine, for notifying, that the human is the pedestrian if the identifying unit identifies that the number of times the human is the pedestrian satisfies a predetermined condition; and a notifying unit configured to notify intrusion if the human determined as the pedestrian by the determining unit intrudes into an area preset for the moving image.

Claims

1. A detection device comprising:

an identifying unit configured to identify whether a human included in a plurality of frame images of a moving image is a pedestrian;

a determining unit configured to determine, for notifying, that the human is the pedestrian if the identifying unit identifies that the number of times the human is the pedestrian satisfies a predetermined condition; and

a notifying unit configured to notify intrusion if the human determined as the pedestrian by the determining unit intrudes into an area preset for the moving image.

2. The device according to claim 1, further comprising

a detecting unit configured to detect a portion of a body of a human included in the frame image,

wherein the identifying unit identifies, using a detection result by the detecting unit, that the human included in the frame image is the pedestrian.

3. The device according to claim 2, wherein

the detecting unit detects each portion of the body of the human using a plurality of detectors configured to detect different portions, and

the identifying unit identifies, based on a combination of detection results of the plurality of detectors, that the human included in the frame image is the pedestrian.

4. The device according to claim 3, wherein the plurality of detectors include not less than two detectors configured to detect not less than two of a face of a human body, a head of a human body, an upper half body of a human body, and a whole body of a human body.

5. The device according to claim 2, further comprising

a tracking unit configured to track the human detected by the detecting unit over a plurality of frame images included in the moving image,

wherein the identifying unit executes identifying process by the identifying unit if the human tracked by the tracking unit intrudes into the area.

6. The device according to claim 1, wherein the determining unit determines that the human is the pedestrian if the number of times the identifying unit identifies that the human is the pedestrian is not less than a predetermined number of times.

7. The device according to claim 1, further comprising an intruder determining unit configured to determine whether the human intrudes into the area,

wherein the plurality of frame images are a plurality of frame images obtained latest until the intruder determining unit determines that the human intrudes into the area.

8. The device according to claim 1, wherein

the identifying unit further identifies whether the human is a passenger of a vehicle,

the determining unit determines that the human is the passenger of the vehicle if the number of times the identifying unit identifies that the human is the passenger of the vehicle satisfies a predetermined condition, and

the notifying unit does not perform a notification about intrusion into the area if the human determined as the passenger of the vehicle by the determining unit intrudes into the area.

9. The device according to claim 1, wherein the identifying unit performs the identification for each frame image.

10. A detection device comprising:

a detecting unit configured to detect, from each frame image, a portion of a body of a human included in a plurality of frame images of a moving image;

a determining unit configured to determine, for notifying, that a human included in the plurality of frame images is a pedestrian if the number of times the detecting unit detects a predetermined portion of the body satisfies a predetermined condition; and

a notifying unit configured to notify intrusion if the human determined as the pedestrian by the determining unit intrudes into an area preset for the moving image.

11. A control method of a detection device, the method comprising:

identifying whether a human included in a plurality of frame images of a moving image is a pedestrian;

determining, for notifying, that the human is the pedestrian if it is identified in the identifying that the number of times the human is the pedestrian satisfies a predetermined condition; and

notifying intrusion if the human determined as the pedestrian in the determining intrudes into an area preset for the moving image.

12. A control method of a detection device, the method comprising:

detecting, from each frame image, a portion of a body of a human included in a plurality of frame images of a moving image;

determining, for notifying, that a human included in the plurality of frame images is a pedestrian if the number of times a predetermined portion of the body is detected in the detecting satisfies a predetermined condition; and

notifying intrusion if the human determined as the pedestrian in the determining intrudes into an area preset for the moving image.

13. A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a program that causes a computer to function as a detection device comprising:

an identifying unit configured to identify whether a human included in a plurality of frame images of a moving image is a pedestrian;

a determining unit configured to determine, for notifying, that the human is the pedestrian if the identifying unit identifies that the number of times the human is the pedestrian satisfies a predetermined condition; and

a notifying unit configured to notify intrusion if the human determined as the pedestrian by the determining unit intrudes into an area preset for the moving image.

14. A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a program that causes a computer to function as a detection device comprising:

a detecting unit configured to detect, from each frame image, a portion of a body of a human included in a plurality of frame images of a moving image;

a determining unit configured to determine, for notifying, that a human included in the plurality of frame images is a pedestrian if the number of times the detecting unit detects a predetermined portion of the body satisfies a predetermined condition; and

a notifying unit configured to notify intrusion if the human determined as the pedestrian by the determining unit intrudes into an area preset for the moving image.
