Abstract

A filter component such as an EMC filter and a method for using an filter component are disclosed. In an embodiment, a filter component includes a resonant circuit having an inductance and at least one capacitor that is connected in series with the inductance, wherein the resonant circuit is designed and arranged for attenuating harmonics in a longwave band.

13. A filter component for use in a wireless power transmission, the filter component comprising:

a resonant circuit having an inductance and at least one capacitor that is connected in series with the inductance,

wherein the resonant circuit is designed and arranged for attenuating harmonics in a longwave band.

14. The filter component according to claim 13, wherein the filter component comprises at least one LC filter stage, and wherein the resonant circuit is connected downstream of the LC filter stage.

15. The filter component according to claim 13, wherein the filter component has a first filter stage and a second filter stage, wherein the first filter stage has one or a plurality of first capacitors, and wherein the second filter stage has one or a plurality of second capacitors.

16. The filter component according to claim 15, wherein an equivalent resistance of the resonant circuit is less than or equal to an impedance of at least one second capacitor connected in parallel.

17. The filter component according to claim 15, wherein a value of the capacitors of the resonant circuit is equal to a value of at least one second capacitor.

18. The filter component according to claim 13, wherein the resonant circuit has a plurality of capacitors.

19. The filter component according to claim 18, wherein an equivalent resistance of the resonant circuit is less than or equal to an impedance of at least one second capacitor connected in parallel.

20. The filter component according to claim 18, wherein a value of the capacitors of the resonant circuit is equal to a value of at least one second capacitor.

21. The filter component according to claim 13, wherein a fundamental frequency of the wireless power transmission is between 81 kHz and 90 kHz, and wherein the resonant circuit is designed and arranged for attenuation of a second harmonic.

22. The filter component according to claim 13, wherein the resonant circuit has a quality factor Q, and wherein Q≤

100.

23. The filter component according to claim 13, wherein the inductance is designed such that a resonant frequency is 170 kHz.

24. A method for using a filter component, the method comprising:

operating a resonant circuit of the filter component at a frequency of 170 kHz with a quality factor of Q≤

100.

25. The method according to claim 24, wherein the resonant circuit comprises an inductance and at least one capacitor, and wherein the at least one capacitor is connected in series with the inductance.

26. The method according to claim 25, wherein the resonant circuit has a plurality of capacitors, and wherein the capacitors are connected in series with the inductance.
