Abstract

First identification information is a detach type for requesting disconnection from a system optimized for Internet of Things (IoT). A procedure includes a step of transmitting a detach request message that includes at least the first identification information to a core network, and a step of receiving a detach accept message from the core network as a response to the detach request message. Thus, a communication procedure such as an attach procedure suitable for a CIoT terminal is provided.

Claims

1. A User Equipment (UE) comprising:

transmission and/or reception circuitry configured to perform a procedure which is initiated by the UE; and

a controller,

wherein

in the procedure, the transmission and/or reception circuitry is further configured to;

transmit a REQUEST message to a control device, and

receive an ACCEPT message from the control device,

the UE indicates that, based on transmitting the REQUEST message, the UE requests to use a first processing,

the ACCEPT message includes network capability information indicating that performing for a second processing, among the first processing and the second processing, is supported,

the controller is configured to;

interpret that performing for the second processing is accepted, based on receiving the network capability information, and

perform at least the second processing after completion of the procedure,

the first processing is a processing that the UE transmits and/or receives user data via the control device by using a communication path for transmitting and/or receiving a control message, and

the second processing is a processing that the UE enters an idle mode with keeping a UE context, in a case that a message to suspend a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection is received from a base station device.

2. The UE according to claim 1, wherein

the UE indicates that, based on transmitting the REQUEST message, the UE supports to perform the first processing.

3. A control device comprising:

transmission and/or reception circuitry configured to perform a procedure which is initiated by a User Equipment (UE); and

a controller,

wherein

in the procedure, the transmission and/or reception circuitry is further configured to;

receive a REQUEST message from the UE, and

transmit an ACCEPT message to the UE,

the control device acquires that, based on receiving the REQUEST message, the UE requests to use a first processing,

the ACCEPT message includes network capability information indicating that performing for a second processing, among the first processing and the second processing, is supported,

the network capability information is used by the UE for interpreting that performing for the second processing is accepted,

the controller is configured to perform at least the second processing after completion of the procedure,

the first processing is a processing that the control device forwards user data between the UE and a DN by using a communication path for transmitting and/or receiving a control message, and

the second processing is a processing that the control device enters an idle mode with keeping a context for a connection, in a case that a control message is received from a base station device.

4. The control device according to claim 3, wherein

the control device acquires that, based on receiving the REQUEST message, the UE supports to perform the first processing.

5. A communication control method performed by a User Equipment (UE), the communication control method comprising:

performing a procedure which is initiated by the UE;

in the procedure,

transmitting a REQUEST message to a control device;

receiving an ACCEPT message from the control device; and

indicating that, based on transmitting the REQUEST message, the UE requests to use a first processing,

wherein

the ACCEPT message includes network capability information indicating that performing for a second processing, among the first processing and the second processing, is supported,

the UE interprets that performing for the second processing is accepted, based on receiving the network capability information,

the UE is configured to perform at least the second processing after completion of the procedure, based on acceptance of performing of the second processing,

the first processing is a processing that the UE transmits and/or receives user data via the control device by using a communication path for transmitting and/or receiving a control message, and

the second processing is a processing that the UE enters an idle mode with keeping a UE context, in a case that a message to suspend a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection is received from a base station device.

6. The communication control method according to claim 5, wherein

the UE indicates that, based on transmitting the REQUEST message, the UE supports to perform the first processing.

7. A communication control method performed by a control device, the communication control method comprising:

performing a procedure which is initiated by a User Equipment (UE);

in the procedure,

receiving a REQUEST message from the UE;

transmitting an ACCEPT message to the UE; and

acquiring that, based on receiving the REQUEST message, the UE requests to use a first processing,

wherein

the ACCEPT message includes network capability information indicating that performing for a second processing, among the first processing and the second processing, is supported,

the network capability information is used by the UE for interpreting that performing for the second processing is accepted,

the control device is configured to perform at least the second processing after completion of the procedure,

the first processing is a processing that the control device forwards user data between the UE and a DN by using a communication path for transmitting and/or receiving a control message, and

the second processing is a processing that the control device enters an idle mode with keeping a context for a connection, in a case that a control message is received from a base station device.

8. The communication control method according to claim 7, wherein

the control device acquires that, based on receiving the REQUEST message, the UE supports to perform the first processing.
