1. A METHOD FOR MAKING A LAMINATED SHUNT FOR AN ELECTRICAL MEASURING INSTRUMENT COMPRISING THE STEPS OF:

  • (A) ASSEMBLING IN A STACKED RELATION ONE OR MORE CONDUCTOR STRIPS, A PLURALITY OF SPACED TERMINAL PLATES COEXTENSIVE WITH PORTIONS OF THE CONDUCTOR STRIPS AND A PLURALITY OF STRIPS ON TIN-LEAD SOLDER WITH A TERMINAL PLATE DISPOSED ON EACH SIDE OF THE END PORTIONS OF EACH CONDUCTOR STRIP AND WITH A STRIP OF THE SOLDER DIMENSIONED TO BE SUBSTANTIALLY COEXTENSIVE WITH THE ADJACENT TERMINAL PLATE DISPOSED BETWEEN EACH TERMINAL PLATE AND THE ADJACENT CONDUCTOR STRIP, THEREBY FORMING LAMINATED TERMINAL BLOCK SECTIONS ON EACH END OF THE ASSEMBLY, (B) CLAMPING THE ASSEMBLY, AND (C) SUBJECTING THE ASSEMBLY TO SUFFICIENT HEAT TO MELT THE SOLDER AND INTEGRALLY UNITE THE ASSEMBLY WHEREBY THE SOLDER DOES NOT FLOW FROM THE COEXTENSIVE PORTIONS OF THE TERMINAL PLATES AND THE CONDUCTOR STRIPS OVER THE CONDUCTOR STRIPS.
