1. An apparatus for the adjustment of cooling for a continuous casting machine of the type including a turning wheel provided with a peripheral casting channel which has a portion thereof covered by a metal tape and a noncovered portion thereof, cooling means for said channel and control means for controlling the cooling intensity of said cooling means, wherein according to the improvement the apparatus further comprises temperature sensing means arranged in the reach of the noncovered portion of said peripheral channel and sensing the temperature thereof, said control means being responsive to the temperature of said noncovered portion of the casting channel sensed by the sensing means.
