Abstract
ENZYMES ARE RECOVERED FROM A BACTERIAL WHOLE FERMENTATION CULTURE MEDIUM BY THE ADDITION OF WATER SOLUBLE INORGANIC COMPOUNDS TO THE MEDIUM AFTER FERMENTATION. THE COMPOUNDS REACT WITH ONE ANOTHER TO PRODUCE AN INSOLUBLE PRECIPITATE "IN SITU" WHICH CARRIES DOWN WITH IT THE BACTERIAL CELLS USED IN THE FERMENTATION AND OTHER VARIOUS CONTAMINANTS. THE RESIDUAL LIQUID CONTAINS THE DESIRED ENZYME OR ENZYMES WHICH CAN BE RECOVERED.
