1. A holster for supporting a pistol on the person of the user and encasing the pistol during discharge thereof comprising:

  • a single sheet of flexible material folded around the pistol and forming an aperture around the barrel to permit the barrel to project externally therefrom;

    stitching permanently joining a portion of the edges of said folded sheet of flexible material between the barrel opening and the front portion of the trigger guard of the pistol, the remaining edges of said material being recessed to fully expose the trigger and trigger guard of the pistol, and the hammer and the pistol handle;

    a strap integrally formed on a portion of one edge of said folded sheet and extending to the other side thereof for gripping the pistol between the trigger guard and the handle;

    at least one aperture formed in said material adjacent to the firing chamber of said pistol for releasing trapped gases when the pistol is discharged;

    a flexible spring-loaded clip secured to said folded sheet adjacent to the integrally formed portion of said strap for detachably fastening the holster to the clothing of the user; and

    means for detachably securing said strap to the opposite side of said folded sheet from said clip so that said folded sheet is secured to the pistol during its support on the person and said stitched portion of the edges of said foldable sheet are urged against the contour of the pistol so that said material and clip remains with the pistol when the pistol is removed from its concealed position and discharged by the user.
