1. A nozzle for spraying liquid under pressure into the atmosphere, and which is adapted to effect improved cooling, aeration, condensing, humidification, or stripping of dissolved or entrained gases, comprising in combination:

  • a wall member at the nozzle orifice for directing liquid under pressure into the atmosphere, said wall member extending between an inlet end and a discharge end, means for supplying liquid under pressure along said wall member to form a first liquid sheet directed in a path substantially parallel to said wall member, and means for conducting at least one other second sheet of liquid under pressure against said wall member at an angle that intersects said first sheet on the wall member between said inlet end and said discharge end.
