1. An improved burner combination comprising:

  • a. means defining a chamber for mixing air and gas;

    b. means defining a gas inlet orifice into the mixing chamber;

    c. a duct for introducing air into the mixing chamber;

    d. a radiant heat burner in the form of a porous cylinder having an open end, the open end facing the mixing chamber; and

    e. a deflector in front of the gas inlet orifice means having a concave side facing the orifice.
