1. A tool for setting a fastener which includes a male and female member adapted to be threaded together, said tool comprising:

  • first means actuable for crimping one of the members having a generally uniform cylindrical surface, second means actuable for torquing that one of the members relative to the other, drive means adapted to be driven for providing an input force for energizing said first and second means, and coupling means for connecting said drive means alternately to said first means and to said second means and responsive to the magnitude of said input force to alternately actuate said first means and said second means at instances varying in accordance with variations in said magnitude of said input force, and wherein a plurality of jaw means comprise said first means and are included in said second means, and said jaw means being operable for torquing said one member at its cylindrical surface and subsequently crimping said one member.
