Abstract
A high elongation yarn made of poly(hexamethylene adipamide) filaments having specific values of toughness, tenacity, initial modulus and elongation are prepared by drawing spun yarn at a draw ratio of between 2.8 X and 3.8 X . The yarns are useful in preparing woven fabric for use in making rapidly inflatable passive restraint air bags.
