Abstract
Heat stabilized synthetic polyamide compositions are prepared by incorporating therein a mixture of a phenolic antioxidant and metal hypophosphite. A typical embodiment includes polyamides which are stabilized with 1,2-bis(3-(3,5-di-t-butyl-4hydroxyphenyl)propionamido)ethane and sodium hypophosphite.
