Abstract
Apparatus for guiding a V/STOL type craft along a descent path in accordance with a prescribed deceleration program to a landing or hover at a given termination position, comprising means for providing a programmed airspeed signal decreasing from an initial high value commencing at some point along the descent path to a final lower value and means for comparing this programmed signal with a signal representative of actual craft speed to produce an output indicative of craft pitch attitude required to reduce the craft speed to the final value prior to reaching the termination point.
