Abstract
A programmable timer mechanism for a dual temperature thermostat having high and low temperature settings. The mechanism includes two programmable members, each controlling, for a first predetermined period, the time in which the '"'"''"'"''"'"''"'"'high'"'"''"'"''"'"''"'"' thermostat is effective to maintain a desired temperature and, for a second predetermined period, the time in which the '"'"''"'"''"'"''"'"'low'"'"''"'"''"'"''"'"' thermostat is effective to maintain a desired temperature. One programmable member may correspond to a weekday life cycle of the occupant of a building to maintain high and low temperatures at appropriate times while the other member may correspond to a weekend life cycle to maintain such high and low temperatures at appropriate times. Automatic and manual switches are provided for activating the programmable members.
