In a control circuit for any one of a family of different models of dishwashing machines which have as common features a pump motor and associated control circuit, a tank, and water temperature control means, and which may in addition include optional functions peculiar to a particular dishwasher model such as motor overload protection means, door lock means, timed fill means, and detergent dispensing means,the improvement comprisinga control circuit for controlling the operation of the pump motor, water temperature control means, and other dishwasher controls,said control circuit includinga circuit board common to all said different models of dishwashers in said family,said circuit board having connections to various control and sensing devices within said dishwasher, andfunction control boards removably connected to said circuit board and containing control components for controlling specific optional functions peculiar to a particular dishwasher model.
