Heating elements comprising a PTC ceramic article of a honeycomb structure composed of barium titanate
First Claim
1. A heating element comprising a ceramic article of a honeycomb structure having a positive temperature coefficient of electrical resistance and composed of barium titanate in which a pair of ohmic electrodes consisting mainly of silver as a metallic component and having a surface resistivity of the electrode per se of not more than 10 mΩ
- /cm2 are provided on both end surfaces of the ceramic article of the honeycomb structure provided with a multiplicity of parallel channels extending therethrough and an electrically insulating and thermostable coating is applied on said ohmic electrodes.
