1. A composite insect attractant for male moths of the beet webworm (Loxostege sticticalis) comprisinga. E-11-tetradecen-1-ol acetate andb. a compound from the group dodecan-1-ol acetate, dodecan-1-ol, tetradecan-1-ol, E-11-tetradecen-1-ol and E-11-tetradecenal with (b) being present in small amounts enhancing the attractancy and species specificity of (a) to beet webworm moths, said amounts being from about 2 to about 10% by wt. of the mixture for the dodecyl compounds, and from about 10 to about 30% by wt. of the mixture for the tetradecyl compounds.
