Controlled pressure drop valve
First Claim
1. A circular disk for stacking in register with similar disks in a valve body to provide an extended flow-resistant surface area comprising a disk having a central annular opening, a circular outer perimeter with each facial surface having a plurality of concentric annular ridges thereon and having interlocking means to hold said disk in register with and to space said disk from an adjacent disk, said interlocking means comprises an outer rim which encircles the outer perimeter of said disk to form an overlapping means to overlap an adjacent disk.

Abstract
A valve having stacked disks with alternate circular grooves in the faces thereof to provide a high pressure drop surface in fluid flow transverse to said grooves and ridges. The disks are circular in shape with a circular center opening to provide a central fluid opening when the disks are stacked with the center openings in register. Fluid enters the center opening and flows radially between the adjacent faces of a pair of disks to flow transversely across the continuous circular grooves and ridges.

4. A circular disk for stacking in register with similar disks in a valve body to provide an extended flow-resistant surface area comprising a disk having a central annular opening, a circular outer perimeter with each facial surface having a plurality of concentric annular ridges thereon and having interlocking means to hold said disk in register with and to space said disk from an adjacent disk, said interlocking means comprising four spaced feet spaced about the outer perimeter of said disk to form an overlapping means to overlap an adjacent disk and to space it therefrom.
