Flexible non-skid strip with reinforcing web member
First Claim
1. A flexible non-skid strip comprising:
- a main body extending along the length of said strip and adapted to be secured to the tread portion of a stair;
a forward edge anchoring portion co-extending with said main body parallel to and spaced from said main body and adapted to be secured to the riser of said stair;
a connection portion integrally connecting the main body and anchoring portion together and adapted to bend about the stair edge of said stair so as to cover the stair edge;
said main body, anchoring portion and connection portion being formed of a flexible synthetic resin;
a non-skid top surface portion on the upper surface of said main body; and
a web member being formed of metal, having a plurality of holes therein, and having arcuate projections provided on and extending above the surface of the upperside thereof, said arcuate projections, respectively bridging said holes and are embedded in said main body and anchoring portion, whereby said web member is integrally secured to the underside of the main body and anchoring portion.

A flexible non-skid strip is constituted by a main body extending along the length of the strip and adapted to be secured to the tread portion of a stair, a forward edge anchoring portion coextending with the main body parallel to and spaced from the main body and adapted to be secured to the riser of the stair, a connection portion integrally connecting the main body and anchoring portion together and adapted to bend about the stair edge of said stair so as to cover the stair edge, a web member integrally secured to the underside of the main body and anchoring portion and being formed of a bendable material having rigidity, and a non-skid top surface portion on the upper surface of the main body.
