An infrared radiation-burglary detector comprising a single radiation receiver, an optical system for focusing radiation upon the single radiation receiver from a number of separate receiving regions, said optical system having an optical axis, internally reflecting prism surface means arranged between the optical system and the radiation receiver, said internally reflecting prism surface means enclosing said optical axis of the optical system and being arranged substantially axially parallel thereto, said optical system focusing radiation on said single radiation receiver from different ones of said receiving regions after a different number of reflections for each receiving region at said internal prism surface means.
