1. A device for controlling a supply of power from a source thereof to a load comprising:

  • integrated circuit means for counting timing signals supplied thereto and operable generally to sequentially increment a count stored therein so as to provide output signals according to the stored count representing a predetermined time period;

    means including a plurality of gates responsive to said integrated circuit means to provide output signals for indicating at least one preselected range of time within the predetermined time period;

    means for monitoring a temperature including a temperature responsive impedance, and bistable circuit means controlled by a voltage across said temperature responsive impedance and switchable between a first state when the monitored temperature is in a first temperature range and a second state when the monitored temperature is in a second temperature range; and

    means responsive to said bistable circuit means and the output signal of said indicating means for inhibiting the supply of power from the source thereof to the load when the monitored temperature is within one of the first and second temperature ranges only during the at least one preselected time range.
