1. A silicone rubber composition which is useful as a shaft seal which consists essentially of(A) 100 parts by weight of a heat curable organopolysiloxane rubber,(B) 5-100 parts by weight of a reinforcing silica filler;

  • (C) 5-100 parts by weight of diatomaceous earth;

    (D) 2-100 parts by weight of an acicular platy mineral powder and,(E) 0.1-10 parts by weight of an organic peroxide, wherein the weight of the components (B), (C), (D) and (E) are based upon 100 parts of (A) and there is present 30 to 150 parts by weight of components (B), (C) and (D) in the total composition (A) to (E).
