Abstract
A power supply circuit for a camera wherein a detection circuit which detects the voltage of a power source is provided for supplying an electric power to the electric circuit of the camera only when the detected voltage is above a preset value. In the power supply circuit, the power supply is controlled by a detection output obtained after a voltage detecting action is performed in a stable condition by the detection circuit. The power source voltage is detected in a manner suitable for the characteristic of the battery employed. Further, the voltage detection is performed only momentarily to prevent unnecessary power consumption for voltage detection.
