1. A microwave antenna comprising a dielectric sheet having a conductive sheet on one major surface thereof and having on the other major surface thereof opposite said conductive sheet a first and second conductive feeder line connected to each other at a common point therealong and a first and second plurality of antenna elements connected to said first and second lines, respectively, at spaced locations therealong to define an antenna array having a linearly polarized radiation pattern, said first and second plurality each including at least two of said antenna elements connected at immediately adjacent locations along the respective feeder line and spaced from each other both parallel and perpendicular to the direction of polarization, said first and second feeder lines being inclined in mutually opposite directions over substantially all of the length thereof between said immediately adjacent locations at an angle other than nπ

  • /2, where n equals 0, 1, 2,..., with respect to the direction of polarization.
