  • and valve means interconnecting such conduits and settable between at least three positions in each of which a flushing liquid is adapted to pass through the inlet conduit and one of the branch conduits and, after traversing a flow path in the system, reenter the apparatus through another branch conduit and finally leave the apparatus through the drainage conduit, the flow paths differing for different settings of the valve means, and including at least one flow path in which the liquid is adapted to pass through at least two of the units of the system.
