1. A method of treating a formation penetrated by a well provided with casing having perforations at a plurality of levels wherein a ball sealer is used for restricting flow through a lower perforation while leaving an upper perforation open to fluid flow comprisinglowering to a level between said upper perforation and said lower perforation a ball sealer having a size sufficient to plug the lower perforation and having a density less than the density of a treating fluid used in treating said formation;

  • lowering screen means between said upper perforation and said lower perforation and above said ball sealer adapted to keep said ball sealer below the screen means and to permit downward flow of fluid through said screen means to carry said ball sealer downward with said fluid; and

    injecting a treating fluid into the casing to cause fluid flow through said upper perforation and through said screen means to carry said ball sealer to said lower perforation.
