7. An improved method for generating a key word for an encryption/decryption system employing key word security, comprising the steps of:

clocking a pseudo random noise generator register at a rate too high for human resolution; inputting a plurality of bits in said pseudo random noise generator register responsive to timing of manual switch operations to generate a random number; operating on said random number with an encryption algorithm to generate the key word; and transferring the key word to a key loading module, the key word being in a form readable only by the encryption/decryption system. - View Dependent Claims (8, 9, 10, 11, 12)
