- (a) first means for generating a signal representing the number of empty storage spaces in the accumulator, and(b) circuit means responsive to the first means signal for automatically controlling the speed of the rewinder.

(a) first means for generating a signal representing the size of the first parent roll; (b) second means for generating a signal representing the size of the second parent roll; (c) third means for generating a signal representing the number of empty storage spaces in the accumulator; and (d) circuit means responsive to the first, second and third means signals for automatically controlling the speed of the first rewinder thereby controlling when both parent rolls run out.
