1. A detector sensitive to gaseous ammonia consisting of an electrically insulating support member, an ammonia sensitive layer, consisting solely of copper phthalocyanine, mounted to the support member,a plurality of electrodes mounted, in spaced apart relationship, in electrical contact with the layer, the electrical resistance of the layer, as measured between the electrodes, being indicative of ammonia gas sensed by the detector.
