1. A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape comprising(a) an adhesive layer of a normally tacky thermoplastic pressure-sensitive rubber-resin and(b) a backing layer of a normally non-tacky thermoplastic film, wherein said adhesive layer is joined substantially coextensively to said backing layer through an intermediate interlocking layer containing both components in a laminar relationship formed by coextruding an adhesive composition and a thermoplastic film-forming composition, each having a torque value of between about 100 meter grams and 1000 meter grams when worked at 75 r.p.m. at 420°

  • F. in a Brabender torque dynamometer, wherein said adhesive composition comprises (i) an elastomeric component and (ii) a tackifier resin component in which the tackifier resin component is present in an amount of from about 20 to 300 parts for each 100 parts by weight of the elastomeric component, andwherein the elastomeric component of the adhesive composition comprises a block copolymer selected from the group consisting of A--B--A block copolymer, A--B block copolymer and mixtures thereof.
