1. A shaped cellulose article which has been formed by a process which comprises shaping a solution containing cellulose dissolved in a solvent therefor which contains a tertiary amine N-oxide solvent for cellulose and a nonsolvent for cellulose which is miscible with the tertiary amine N-oxide solvent, stretching the resulting shaped solution and then precipitating the cellulose from said resulting shaped solution to form said shaped cellulose article having improved physical properties.
