1. A method for detecting a drill tool failure in a drilling machine characterized by:

  • collecting chips or particles resulting from the machining with a drilling tool, andcollecting chips or particles resulting from the machining with a drilling tool with chip or particle collection means for collecting chips or particles resulting from the drilling of works with the drilling tool, anddetecting the quantity of collected chips or particles so as to detect whether the drilling tool is intact or broken through use of chip or particle detection means for detecting the quantity of collected chips or particles, whereby whether the drilling tool is intact or broken is detected from the quantity of collected and detected chips or particles.
