1. A lighting fixture for supporting an elongated light source which emits light radially from a longitudinal axis in an angular pattern which exceeds 180°

  • , said fixture comprising;

    an elongated reflector having a generally parabolic transverse cross-section with an axis of symmetry, said reflector having a pair of opposite edges which define an imaginary plane intersecting said axis of symmetry; and

    lamp socket means for supporting said elongated light source in generally perpendicular relationship with said axis of symmetry, spaced from said reflector, and with said longitudinal axis disposed in said imaginary plane or on a side of said imaginary plane which is remote from said reflector.
