7. A machine-implemented method of operating a thermal generating plant comprising a plurality of power generating units comprising the steps of:

(I) providing a target load schedule; (II) determining, in accordance with the target load schedule, a time point at which there should occur entry into operation of a power generating unit; (III) selecting a power generating unit as one entering into operation at the time point determined at the step (II); (IV) determining a time schedule of start up of the power generating unit selected at the step (III); and (V) implementing the start-up operation of the selected power generating unit in accordance with the time schedule of start-up determined at the step (IV). - View Dependent Claims (8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15)
