Surveillance and weapon system
First Claim
1. A surveillance and weapon system which comprisesa tubular, generally annularly symmetrical multiple fire weapon having a generally unobstructed throat extending axially therethrough, and optical scope means disposed in said throat substantially coaxial with the weapon, said optical scope means constituting a forward optics portion of a substantially complete optical scope, said scope including a rearward portion external of said weapon throat, andsaid optical scope including tiltable scope means external of said weapon throat.

Abstract
A remote controlled surveillance and weapon system comprising a tubular, generally annularly symmetrical multiple fire weapon having an optical scope coaxially arranged in the throat thereof. An electronic image sensor is optically coupled with the scope and provides an image to a video surveillance screen at a remote station. Movement and firing of the weapon are performed from the remote station according to a view along the axis of symmetry of the weapon as viewed on the video surveillance screen. In a preferred form diametrically opposed pairs of firing bores are fired simultaneously so as to balance recoil forces about the axis of symmetry and thereby maintain alignment of the weapon and scope with a target being fired upon.

2. A surveillance and weapon system which comprises
a tubular, generally annularly symmetrical multiple fire weapon having a generally unobstructed throat extending axially therethrough, and optical scope means disposed in said throat substantially coaxial with the weapon, and electronic image sensor means optically coupled with said scope means so as to receive an optical image therefrom, said image sensor including magnetic yoke coil means, and the system including means for reversing the polarity of said coil means upon tilting of the weapon-forward optics through a generally vertical position to avoid inversion of a video image derived from said image sensor.

3. A surveillance and weapon system which comprises
a tubular, generally annularly symmetrical multiple fire weapon having a generally unobstructed throat extending axially therethrough, and optical scope means disposed in said throat substantially coaxial with the weapon, said optical scope means constitutes a forward optics portion of a substantially complete optical scope, said scope including a rearward portion external of said weapon throat, and said image sensor being external of said weapon throat and arranged to receive said optical image from said rearward scope portion, said optical scope including tiltable scope means external of said weapon throat permitting tilting of the axis of said weapon and forward optics portion relative to said image sensor.
