1. A dispenser for dispensing a beneficial drug composition to a biological environment of use, wherein the dispenser comprises:

  • (a) a container comprising a telescopically engaging gelatin cap and body;

    (b) a composition in the container, which composition comprises a beneficial drug and a temperature sensitive means for forming a dispensable composition in a biological environment having a temperature up to 40°

    C., said means a member selected from the group consisting of a butter, wax, stearate, hydrogenated oil, partially hydrogenated oil, glyceride, glycol, ester and polyether;

    (c) means in the container for occupying an increasing volume in the compartment for pushing the dispensable composition from the dispenser, said means a hydrophilic hydrogel composition that interacts with fluid and exhibits a 2 to 50 volume increase in the presence of fluid that enters the container;

    (d) a wall surrounding the container, the wall comprising at least in part a semipermeable composition comprising a cellulose acylate, cellulose diacylate, cellulose triacylate, cellulose ester and cellulose ether composition permeable to fluid present in the environment of use; and

    (e) at least one passageway in the disperser for dispensing the dispensable composition from the dispenser.
