1. A stabilizer composition for improving the resistance of synthetic resins to deterioration when exposed to ultraviolet light, comprising(1) a 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-piperidyl compound containing in the molecule at least one 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-piperidyl group;

  • and(2) an alkylidene-bis-(benzotriazolyl phenol) having the formula;

    ##STR35## wherein;

    R1 is hydrogen or alkyl having from one to about twelve carbon atoms;

    R2 is alkyl having from one to about twelve carbon atoms or arylalkyl having from seven to about sixteen carbon atoms;

    X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, alkyl having from one to about twelve carbon atoms, aryl having from six to ten carbon atoms, arylalkyl having from seven to about sixteen carbon atoms, alkoxy having from one to about twelve carbon atoms, aryloxy having from six to ten carbon atoms; and

    arylalkoxy having from seven to about sixteen carbon atoms.
