- 14. A method for sensing the acidic hydrogen concentration of a substantially non-aqueous medium comprising obtaining an organic polymer capable of accepting protons, making a first measurement of the resistance of the organic polymer, exposing the medium containing protons to the organic polymer, then making a second measurement of the resistance of the organic polymer wherein the degree of acidic hydrogen concentration of the substantially non-aqueous medium is determined.

26. A method for determining a relatively low acidic hydrogen concentration of a medium by:
-
(a) measuring the conductivity of an organic polymer capable of accepting protons; (b) introducing the organic polymer to the medium containing protons; (c) removing the organic polymer from the medium; (d) determining the difference in resistance of the organic polymer due to acceptance of protons; (e) correlating the difference in resistance to the acidic hydrogen concentration in the medium. - View Dependent Claims (27)
