1. A sensor having a resistance adjusting circuit to adjust the sensitivity of said sensor, said resistance adjusting circuit comprising:

  • resistance means including a plurality of resistances, switching means coupled to said resistance means for selectively connecting one or more of said plurality of resistances to produce a combined resistance, patterning means coupled to said switching means and responsive to a first signal for controlling said switching means to selectively and sequentially connect said plurality of resistances in accordance with a predetermined pattern to adjust the sensitivity of said sensor, andholding means responsive to a second signal for holding said patterning means and fixing the connection of said plurality of resistances so that said combined resistance is permanently fixed, said second signal being produced when said sensor senses a particular condition.
