1. A personal message receiving apparatus, for presenting to a user selective call messages, having selective call address and message information, being transmitted on a first radio frequency communications channel, said device comprising:

  • a portable communications receiver intended to be carried by the user, said receiver having,a first receiver portion for receiving and detecting the selective call address and messages information being transmitted on the first radio frequency communications channel,message storage means responsive to the detected selective call address information for effecting the storing of the received message information, andtransmitter means, coupled to said message storage means, and further responsive to the message information being stored for subsequently transmitting on a second communications channel, the stored message information; and

    a presentation unit further intended to be carried by the user, said unit havinga second receiver means, separate from said portable communications receiver, for receiving and detecting the message information transmitted on the second communications channel, andpresentation means, coupled to said second receiver means, for presenting the message information received on the second communications channel.
