1. An optical interconnection network, comprising:
- (a) a spatial light modulator with a plurality of reflective pixels, each of said pixels having at least first and second states.(b) an optical system, said optical system (i) imaging light emitted from one of a plurality of optical inputs onto a corresponding pixel of said spatial light modulator and (ii) reimaging said light afer reflection from said corresponding pixel if said corresponding pixel is in said first state but not if said corresponding pixel is in said second state onto one of a plurality of optical outputs, said reimaging substantially retracting the rays of said imaging through said optical system.

(a) a first connector part including an array of optical fibers in a first bevelled portion plus an array of micro lenses attached to the ends of said optical fibers; and (b) a second connector part including a second bevelled portion complementary to said first bevelled portion, said second bevelled portion attached to a reflective spatial light modulator; and (c) fasteners coupling said first connector part to said second connector part.

(a) a first connector part including an array of optical fibers in a first bevelled portion; and (b) a second connector part including a second bevelled portion complementary to said first bevelled portion, said second bevelled portion attached to an array of micro lenses and a reflective spatial light modulator; and (c) fasteners coupling said first connector part to said second connector part.
