1. A donor element for thermal transfer comprising a support having on one side thereof a fluorescent diphenylpyrazoline compound dispersed in a polymeric binder, and on the other side thereof a slipping layer comprising a lubricant, said compound having the formula:

  • ##STR7## wherein;

    R is hydrogen;

    cyano;

    carboxyalkyl;

    a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group of 1 to about 6 carbon atoms;

    or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group of about 6 to about 10 carbon atoms; and

    J is hydrogen;

    a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group of 1 to about 6 carbon atoms;

    a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group of about 6 to 10 carbon atoms;

    or may represent --CH2 -- or --CH2 CH2 -- to complete a 5- or 6-membered non-aromatic carbocyclic ring.
