Abstract
A donor element for thermal transfer comprising a support having on one side thereof a fluorescent 7-aminocoumarin compound dispersed in a polymeric binder, and on the other side thereof a slipping layer comprising a lubricant. In a preferred embodiment, the compound has the formula: ##STR1## wherein: each X and Y independently represents hydrogen; a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or acyl group having from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms; a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having from about 6 to about 10 carbon atoms; or the atoms necessary to complete, along with the nitrogen to which it is attached, a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring.
