1. A method for selectively screening program material comprising(1) transmitting to one or more receiver devices a program material signal which is electronically detectable by each receiver device, each receiver device being capable of recognizing and replaying said program material signal in a humanly perceivable form,(2) supplementing the program material signal with a material content signal electronically detectable by a program material screening device, wherein said material content signal does not interfere with transmission of the program material signal or reception thereof by a receiver device not connected to a program material screening device, and(3) connecting at least one of said one or more receiver devices to a program material screening device such that upon detecting said material content signal, said program material screening device, on the authorization of the receiver device user, automatically selectively disables at least one of the one or more receiver devices connected to a program material screening device from receiving and/or replaying said program material signal.
