1. An apparatus for use in a ground vehicle having a windshield through which the driver can view conditions in the direction of travel of the ground vehicle, the apparatus comprising:

  • a program source for producing a video program;

    a display device connected to said program source for producing a set of visual images corresponding to said video program; and

    a mirror disposed in a location slightly above the normal line of sight of the driver toward the direction of travel of the ground vehicle, said mirror having a width which is less than the interpupillary distance between the driver'"'"'s eyes, said mirror having a width and a height in relation to the size of said display device and the distance from the driver to said mirror to reflect an image of the entirety of said display device to one eye of the driver and not to reflect an image of any of said display device to the other eye of the driver.
